FAQ
Q: How do I place an order?
A: Select your vehicle or category from the drop down menu at the top of our online store. You can also search by clicking on the magnifying glass. Find the product you're looking for and click the "Add To Cart" button. You will be taken to your Shopping Cart where you can view all your items. If you want more than one item, change the quantity and the cart will update your total. You will see your subtotal at the bottom. Once you have everything you want in your shopping cart, click the "Check Out" button at the bottom.
Q: How much is shipping? Do you ship Internationally?
A: Shipping in the USA for orders over $50 is free. Orders under $50 or for orders that need to be expedited will be quoted at checkout. We also ship internationally and shipping will automatically be quoted for orders to Canada and other countries during checkout, before you confirm your order.
Q: Some of your covers are Stainless Steel and some are Chrome, what’s the difference?
A: Our polished stainless steel and chrome share the same great look. We use polished stainless steel for most of our covers. Stainless will never rust and with proper care, will look great forever. Our rounded premium covers are formed and the seams are welded and smoothed. They are then chrome plated to the same great look of our polished stainless. Due to the extra work that goes into making them, our premium covers carry a higher price tag.
Q: Are your premium covers "Triple Chrome Plated"?
A: The expression triple chrome plated can be used loosely. It can mean there are three layers of any type of plating. All of our premium covers are plated with a total of four layers; we call it "Show Chrome". Before any plating the covers are smoothed and buffed by hand. They are then plated with copper and polished to a mirror shine, plated twice with a special proprietary nickel, then plated with chrome and a final buffing is done. In between each process the part is acid dipped and cleaned. Chrome plating doesn't get better than this!
Q: Why does brushed stainless cost more than polished stainless?
A: The reason for the increase is because we don't sell enough brushed finish to justify the cost. We don't like raising prices but figured this would be better than getting rid of brushed stainless all together.
Q: How should I care for my stainless covers?
A: To clean your stainless covers, we recommend you use a quality microfiber and Mothers Billet Metal Polish. We’ve tried a lot of metal polishes and Mothers is the best. Make sure you grab the right one though; Mothers “Mag & Aluminum” polish is cheaper but not half as good as Mothers “Billet Metal” polish.
Q: How should I care for my chrome covers?
A: Proper care can provide a show quality shine for years to come. To clean your chrome covers, we recommend you use a quality microfiber and Liquid Sealant or a pure wax (not polish) with no abrasives added. Not only will this provide a scratch free shine but it will also protect your covers finish.
Q: Do you offer any type of warranty?
A: All of our Yofab & Specialized Stainless brand products carry a 1 year warranty if purchased directly from Yoast Fabrication or an Authorized Dealer. Please see our Terms & Conditions for full agreement.
Q: Can I polish out a scratch on my stainless cover?
A: It's definitely possible to polish scratches out of your stainless covers. It's not the easiest thing to do but if you have the time, you can do it. A customer of ours decided he wanted polished covers instead of brushed... Here's how he did it: Brushed to Polished.
